Where Anyone Can Play
February 6, 2026 Redboine Boating Club on the Red River - 20 Churchill Drive. Proudly supported by Nirvana Waterworks.
Learn MoreOur other weekend long outdoor curling event, now called Rock The River Festival and formerly known as Ironman Outdoor Curling, is the longest running outdoor curling event in Canada! Every year since the early 2000’s, on the first full Fri-Sun weekend in February, curlers gather on the frozen river in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to play Canada’s oldest game. Teams go head-to-head to earn the illustrious Outdoor Curling Trophy & Outdoor Curling Champions bragging rights!
Now we have added the High School Tournament, open to all kids attending high school (grades 9 to 12) in Manitoba. Taking place during the day on Friday (just before the weekend long event begins), this newest Manitoba tournament provides kids with the chance to meet new people, experience a new sport, feel a sense of community involvement, and it comes with it’s own magnificent Curling Trophy & Champions bragging rights, plus the winning team will receive a school podium banner to be displayed in their school for years to come!
2026 High School Tournament Date: Feb 6, 2026
Where: On the Red River at the Redboine Boat Club, 20 Churchill Drive, WPG, MB.
Our outdoor curling events have always been tied to fundraising for charity. With the new High School Tournament we are proud to say we have partnered with KidSport Manitoba, a charitable program dedicated to breaking down financial barriers so all kids can experience the benefits of organized sport. Administered by Sport Manitoba, the program provides grants to help cover registration fees for children under 18 from families who face financial challenges.
